My best friend and I have been trying to plan a Disneyland trip together for 2 years. She purchased her tickets first (2 1-day-1park tickets) but she must have got the last reservations because I can only go one of the same days as her. Is there any hope?

    Hi Emily, welcome to planDisney!

I'm so sorry you weren't able to secure the same theme park reservation days as your friend! April is typically a busy month at the Disneyland Resort as many schools are closed for spring break. But hope is NEVER LOST! Theme park reservations are fluid and constantly changing as Guests can revise their reservations themselves from within their Disneyland Resort account. So I recommend continuously monitoring the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to see if a reservation opens up.

If you have already purchased your ticket, then definitely book the one day that you mentioned is currently available and monitor the reservation calendar to see if a spot on the second day opens up. If you have NOT purchased your ticket yet, I would consider opening up your options to purchase the park hopper ticket. One park per day tickets and park hopper tickets have different reservation availability, so that should open up your chances of securing the same day reservations as your friend!

I truly hope you're able to make this work! April 2022 is a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort, as the super fun Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is currently taking place until April 26, 2022! Also, if you and your friends are flexible with your dates, I might recommend rescheduling your visit to later in April or early May as the Disneyland Resort is bringing back its nighttime spectaculars on April 22, 2022, with the Main Street Electrical Parade and Disneyland Forever fireworks returning to Disneyland Park, and World of Color returning to Disney California Adventure Park!
