I (22) and my best friend (23) are going for our very first time for our birthday trip! Our first day will be my 23rd birthday. What are some suggestions for planning/activities/etc that you'd recommend for first time adults? I see a lot for kids

    Welcome to planDisney, Rhys!

How exciting that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort for the first time in forever. Celebrating your birthdays will add even more pixie dust to your trip. If you're looking for ideas to make your visit extra special, you've come to the right place. Let me offer up a couple of suggestions:

    Enchanted Extras Collection
These experiences are "practically perfect" ways to make magical memories during your Disney vacation. If watching a breathtaking show sounds like your "cup of tea" (to use a common Britishism), I highly recommend getting tickets for Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney. I've seen this show twice and was absolutely mesmerized both times. If you'd like to learn more about the fascinating history of Magic Kingdom Park, then the Keys to the Kingdom Tour won't disappoint. Not only does this experience include a delicious lunch, but you'll get to access the “Utilidor” tunnels! If you're a more adventurous type, why not book the Wild Africa Trek? This 3-hour, privately-guided, VIP expedition will leave you awe-struck. The wilderness must be explored!

There are many other wonderful experiences to book, such as fireworks cruises or spa treatments. You really can't go wrong!

    Dining
Every birthday should include a celebratory meal. Walt Disney World Resort has some brilliant dining options, Rhys. Again, the choice is almost endless. Some recommendations from me: California Grill, Cítricos, Jiko – The Cooking Place, Sanaa, Narcoosee’s, Steakhouse 71, and Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. You can make reservations up to 60 days in advance of your trip. The most popular restaurants fill up quickly, so make sure you set your alarm nice and early and make those reservations at 6:00 AM (ET).

There's so much to see and do at The Most Magical Place on Earth, Rhys. You'll only be able to scratch the surface (which is why you simply must come back). Therefore, just enjoy every moment. Make sure you get Disney Genie+ so that you can experience more attractions. I'd even recommend purchasing the Memory Maker so that you can capture more magical moments from your trip.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Rhys. If you need any more suggestions, you've got a friend in me.
