Livia from Rio de Janeiro Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My best friend got engaged at Magic Kingdom, and I’m her maid of honor. I’ll be staying at a Disney Resort just days before her wedding. Is there anything special I could arrange or do during my stay to surprise her and celebrate their Disney love story?

Hey there, Livia, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question.

Just like Minnie and Daisy, Anna and Elsa, and Tiana and her bud Lottie, you and your pal make a practically perfect pair! It's so sweet that you want to celebrate your friend's happily ever after, and I'm so excited to help you sprinkle some pixie dust on her big day!

From your question, I'm not sure if your friend will be spending her honeymoon in Walt Disney World, or if you just want to bring some magic home to share. Just in case, we'll talk about both scenarios - beginning with the one that involves your friend, her partner, and a romantic stay in Disney World!

If your friend is honeymooning in The Most Magical Place on Earth, there are plenty of extra-special experiences you can plan for her and her partner. One idea is to treat them to dinner at a fancy restaurant, like California Grill, Narcoossee's, or (my favorite!) Monsieur Paul. Make sure you're connected with your friend through your My Family & Friends list so you can add her to the Advance Dining Reservation (if you want to keep it a surprise, make the reservation for two and add her to the reservation later). Then give them a Disney Gift Card as a wedding present, so they won't have to foot the bill!

You may also want to check out Disney's Enchanting Extras Collection, which offers romantic experiences like fireworks cruises, private photo sessions, and special tours. Most of these experiences can be booked 60 days in advance and require full payment at the time of booking. This means you can pre-pay and give the experience as a gift.

Now, if you're looking for a special gift or token to bring home for the newlyweds, I also have a few ideas that just might fit the bill. One of my family's favorite Disney World traditions is to purchase a customized Christmas ornament at Disney's Days of Christmas over at Disney Springs. My now-husband proposed 14 years ago, and we still have the ornaments we bought in the years we were engaged, and, later, married! As an alternative, you could have two sets of mouse ears personalized at Curtain Call Collectibles at Magic Kingdom. "Mr. & Mrs." accessories never looked so good!

I hope this helps, Livia! I hope your visit to Disney World makes all your dreams come true! If you have any other questions, feel free to write me directly. I'm always happy to help!

    Warm hugs,

    Allison
