Hiya Elaine,
It is great to see you back at planDisney. One of our family's favorite past times is a friendly debate over the best food and restaurants at
Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many delicious options to choose from that even the pickiest eater will have a long list of favorites.
While we typically try to make an
advanced dining reservation for at least a few table service locations, there are plenty of
quick service options we love just as much. At
Magic Kingdom you cannot go wrong with a meal from
Columbia Harbour House. This New England themed restaurant has the most delicious Lobster Roll and their Grilled Salmon is one of my son's favorite things in all of Disney World. If you are not a seafood lover, no worries. Simply meander down the path a little ways to
Peco Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe where you can rustle up some saloon grub to fill that rumbly in your tumbly. Their nachos are mouth-watering. One last stop that you must make is on Main Street U.S.A. at
Casey's Corner. This gem is home to an assortment of old fashioned ballpark treats like hot dogs, french fries, and (one of my favorites) corn dog nuggets. Grab a snack and a table outside and take in the sites and sounds of Cinderella Castle. It makes for a perfect stop!
Are you headed over to Disney's Hollywood Studios instead? Not a problem as there are a number of great choices there too. We always make sure we visit Andy's Toys when our hunger pains hit as Woody's Lunch Box is the perfect place to refuel. The Lunch Box Tarts are delicious but our favorite here is Totchos. This messy masterpiece features crunchy tater tots drowning in chili, cheese, onions and sour cream. So yummy! When we are looking to sit and have a little bigger of a meal, our go to is the
ABC Commissary. They offer a great selection of sandwiches and salads as well as a delicious California Burger. Of course we have to make one final stop at this theme park. Well actually, we are going to head to another planet for this stop but it will be worth the travel. Our absolute must have when visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios is a Ronto Wrap. This scrumptious sausage and slaw creation can be found at
Ronto Roosters on the planet of Batuu - otherwise known as
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. We have been known to stop there a couple of times during the day as one is sometimes not enough.
Remember, you can use your
My Disney Experience mobile app to pre-order your counter service meal and schedule your arrival time to help cut down on your wait. I hope this helps you find the perfect options for your family. If I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
T-T-F-N (Ta-Ta for now),
Margaret
