    Hi there, which is the best family restaurant in downtown disney on the dining plan as we have booked cap'n'jaks but have read the many horrendous reviews that we want to cancel and book elsewhere mid afternoon prior to our cirque du soleil show. thanks

    Hi Nigel,

    I've dined at Cap'n Jack's Restaurant, and while I don't think it's horrendous, it really is only adequate.  With the other choices that are available at Downtown Disney, I would change my reservation too.  

    I've listed the restaurants that accept the dining plan in order of my personal preference; taking food quality and atmosphere into consideration:

    Wolfgang Puck Cafe
    Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant
    Portobello
    Rainforest Cafe (this one is has good food & it's exciting if you're traveling with children)
    Planet Hollywood
