What is the best economic option for transportation to and from airport to all star resorts for 5 adults and 2 children (1 in cars seat).

    Hi, Michael!

I am so excited to hear you are staying at one of Disney's All-Star Resorts! I love the larger-than-life decor around the 3 themed resorts. While these value resorts do not have table service dining, they have wonderful menu selections in their food courts, including home-style meals, grab and go, and of course the must-have pizza and chicken tenders!

There are many transportation options from the airport to your All-Star Resort. One option is Mears Transportation. All your luggage is easily accommodated, your group can travel together in comfort, and you do not have to worry about directions to your resort as they will drop you at the front entrance of your resort. Book your Mears Transportation online, and when you arrive in Orlando, pick-up your luggage, head to the pick-up location and zoom away to the magic! Check the Mears Transportation website for pricing and transportation options.

Your other option would be to rent a car. If you decide to rent a car, you will need a large SUV or minivan to allow for 7 passengers. If you find a large enough rental vehicle and decide to go that route, parking is complimentary for Disney Resort guests both at your hotel and at the theme parks. Remember when renting a car, you will need to factor in extra costs such as gas and road tolls.

Using a rideshare such as Uber or Lyft is also an option, but you would need to research if they would accommodate a party of 7 or if you would need 2 cars.

In the end, the easiest and probably most economical choice will be Mears. It certainly takes away the stress of driving! This would be my choice if I were making the decision.

Here is something fun if you are flying Southwest Airlines! Airport Luggage Service is provided for guests staying at select Disney Value Resorts. If you sign up for this complimentary service, your luggage will be transferred to your resort upon arrival. When checking out of your resort, drop your bags at Luggage Assistance and have it transferred to your Southwest Airlines flight. No hauling or carrying luggage! Now that is a magical service! Please remember this is only for guests on Southwest Airlines staying at select Disney Value Resorts.

I hope you find the perfect way to arrive at your All-Star Resort with your fun party of 7. Once at the resort, Disney Resort Transportation will be available to take you to theme parks, Disney Springs, and more! Have a magical vacation in Walt Disney World.
