What is the best Disney World hotel to stay at for a family of three (daughter will be 3 years old at time of trip)?

    Hi Shannon,

I also have a family of three with one daughter, so I am used to traveling with this configuration! Let me offer you some thoughts on the Walt Disney World resort hotels.

First, I suggest that you take a look at the different resort categories. You can sort by this on the link that I provided. Generally speaking, the value resorts will be the least expensive, followed by the moderates and then deluxe and deluxe villa resorts. All of these categories of resorts will provide you with the benefits of being a Walt Disney World resort guest, such as Disney's Magical Express to bring you to and from the airport, and Extra Magic Hours. Value resorts tend to have smaller rooms; however, with three people in your traveling party, that should be fine. As you move up to deluxe and deluxe villa resorts, you will find that they tend to be closer to theme parks and have more dining options and bigger rooms. Let me share one of my favorites in each category with you.

For a value resort, I really like Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The large and colorful tributes to animation throughout the resort are so joyful! For a moderate resort, I like Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. It is charming, and you can also check out the Royal Guest Rooms there for a princess touch! Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a wonderful deluxe resort. You can see exotic animals outside of nearly every window! Finally, for a home-away-from-home feeling in a deluxe villa, Disney's Beach Club Villas is wonderful. This resort has an amazing pool area and is walking distance from Epcot.

These are just some of my favorites, Shannon. Once you have narrowed down to the resort category that you want, I suggest that you peruse the websites of each to see which theme is most appealing to you. I hope that these thoughts were helpful! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
