What is the best disney reosrt to stay at for a just turned three year old little girl? She can get overwhelmed at times and want to make sure it is a short trip back to the room. I am also looking for activities for afternoon breaks at the resort.

    Hi Nancy,

With your description, I think you'd like staying at a Magic Kingdom monorail resort best:  Contemporary, Polynesian, or Grand Floridian. All of these offer easy/quick access to the Magic Kingdom by monorail; at the Contemporary you can actually walk to the park. In addition to the monorail. the Polynesian and Grand Floridian share a water taxi to the park, which can be a nice, cooling break. I also like that all three of these resorts allow you to easily transfer to a monorail to Epcot.  And a great perk about monorails is that you rarely have to fold up a stroller --- huge bonus when little guests get sleepy!

Similarly, all three of the resorts have activities throughout the day for young guests from making tiki masks to hula-hoop contests.  And in the evening there are movies under the stars on the beach!

I'd encourage you to look over the resorts (click on the above links) and see which suits your style the best.  These are the deluxe resorts, so they will be more costly.  If you are looking for something in a different price range, please don't hesitate to send us another question.
