What’s the best Disney hotel for a 7 year old that likes princesses and pools

Hey there, Michelle! Allow me to extend a royal welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sharing your bibbidi bobbidi beautiful question!

My little princess is now a not-so-little teenager, but I have a lot of fond memories of our Walt Disney World vacations during her big Disney Princess phase (I’m pretty sure she’d still dress up as Elsa for a day in the parks if she could). So let’s take a look at which hotels will fit your kiddo's royal interests, while also offering a splashy good time at the pool.

The first hotel that comes to mind—and one of my personal favorites—is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This gorgeous resort is home to Story Book Dining with Snow White, where guests can meet Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy at their table, and have their picture taken with The Queen (if you’re brave enough…). Then there are the two great pools. The Copper Creek Springs Pool features a 67-foot waterslide and a kids' splash area, while the zero-depth entry Boulder Ridge Cove Pool is a more relaxed option. The nearby Grand Floridian Resort also has character dining with Cinderella and Princess Tiana at 1900 Park Fare, and is certainly elegant in its decor, but I think the pools at Wilderness Lodge give it a slight edge.

If you’re looking for more immersive rooms during your stay, you might consider checking out the Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans - Riverside. These lavish accommodations include all sorts of princess touches, such as light-up murals above the beds, framed royal portraits, and even a letter from Princess Tiana. This resort has 5 leisure pools and the 3.5-acre Ol’ Man Island, which includes a 95-foot waterslide, bridges, a hot tub, and a kiddie pool. Another option is the Little Mermaid-themed rooms at Art of Animation if you’d like an undersea adventure. This resort is home to the Big Blue Pool, the largest hotel pool at Walt Disney World, and the Cars-themed Cozy Cone Pool.

Michelle, I hope this information helps with your planning and that you have the most amazing vacation this summer. Pop right back to planDisney if you have any other questions or need any more recommendations. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
