Hey, Lisa, welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so happy to help out a fellow Texan today, especially when it comes to one of my favorite topics: Disney snacks. It sounds like we have a lot in common because, although Walt Disney World Resort has some incredible sweets to try, I am always on the lookout for something savory. There are some great options at each of the four theme parks, so let's make like Scrooge McDuck and dive on in!
When I'm looking for something savory at
Magic Kingdom Park, I like to head straight to
Casey's Corner on Main Street U.S.A. to try whatever specialty fries they have on offer that month. The last time I was there it was traditional Canadian poutine, and this month they have Loaded Cuban Fries with mojo pork on top! If you want to try something spicy, I recommend the jalapeño poppers and also the spicy fried cauliflower at
Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland. Finally, you can find some pretty unique pretzel flavors at
The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland, and the flavors rotate out pretty frequently so there's always something new to try. My favorite is the one that's stuffed with pepper jack cheese!
At
Epcot, I usually pick up a refillable popcorn bucket because there are three different flavors of popcorn available from a popcorn cart outside of
Journey Into Imagination With Figment in the Future World West area. Here's a tip: ask them to mix all three flavors together for you! There are also some delicious savory snacks to be found when you're strolling around World Showcase, and one of my all-time favorites is the creamy and cheesy Nudel Gratin from
Sommerfest in the Germany Pavilion.
When I'm at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, I tend to gravitate towards my favorite classic snacks, like a flavored pickle from
Anaheim Produce on Sunset Boulevard, or a Mickey Pretzel with Cheese. They're both great to snack on while watching
Fantasmic!Finally,
Disney's Animal Kingdom is home to two of my favorite things to eat: the Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Shrimp and Sweet Chili Sauce from
Eight Spoon Café, and the French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese from
Flame Tree Barbecue. I can't help but use a Snack credit on these things every time I visit! This particular theme park is full of unique snacks, so be sure to try as many as you can while you're there.
Happy Snacking, Lisa!
