What are the best desserts for chocolate lovers in Magic Kingdom and Epcot? Also, can we expect specialty Christmas-themed seasonal treats?

    Hi Shannon!

Wow, you are speaking my love language. I feel like you and I are Anna and Elsa and we just said, "Chocolate" in unison! This is going to be so much fun sharing my favorite chocolate choices-though not in any particular order because it's too hard to rank them.

    MAGIC KINGDOM:

Liberty Tree Tavern’s Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is exactly as its name describes! Sure, it may be a bit lighter on the chocolate than some of the others, but with chocolate sauce covering vanilla toffee cake and vanilla ice cream, it's quite delicious.

Speaking of amazing names, the Kungaloosh! at Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen is fun to say and even more fun to eat! It’s a combination of chocolate cake, caramelized bananas, cashew-caramel ice cream, and a sprinkling of coffee dust.

For chocolate goodness that’s out of this galaxy, try the Brownie Sundae at Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies

For a more subtle use of chocolate, Sleepy Hollow at Liberty Square has the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich served with Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread.

    EPCOT:

When a dessert is named “Chocolat” and it's French, you pick it. Every. Single Time. This terrific tart can be found in Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie at France Pavilion.

My sweet tooth goes crazy for Chocolate Covered Sea Salt Caramel at Karamell-Küche at the Germany Pavilion.

I think my chocolate lover card would be revoked if I didn't mention two other desserts outside Magic Kingdom and EPCOT that are definitely topnotch. For the ultimate chocolate coma, try the Chocolate Lovers Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort...but be sure to bring friends because this one says it feeds four! Zebra Domes from Boma-Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge are my guilty pleasure with chocolate ganache, coffee, and Kahlua flavors.

Here are my top Magic Kingdom picks for holiday treats, sure to satisfy chocoholics:

-Main Street Bakery for Olaf’s Frozen Hot Chocolate Cake
-Sleepy Hollow's Santa Mickey Waffle Sundae
-Enchanted Christmas Belle Dessert at Gaston's Tavern

Once we know more about special holiday events like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, I may have even more recommendations for you. So come back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel for all the scoop! One thing is for sure: your upcoming trip is sure to be a SWEET treat.
