Hello there Lesia! It looks like some
Halloween Time fun is right around the corner for you!
There will always be crowds when visiting the theme parks, but I have found that weekdays such as a Tuesday or a Wednesday tend to have lower crowds than the days leading up to or just after the weekends. I have also seen a trend that a lot of school districts have a fall break around mid-October which can definitely bring more Guests into the parks.
Oogie Boogie Bash is also taking place throughout the entire month of October, you'll definitely want to make note of those
event dates if they take place during your trip. Disney California Adventure Park will close early to those without a separate Oogie Boogie Bash special event ticket, and Disneyland Park can get a bit more crowded on those evenings.
However, even during the busiest days, my biggest tip is to arrive early, well before the parks are scheduled to open! The
Downtown Disney District usually opens at 7:00 AM for Guests to begin lining up at the theme park gates, and during my last trip, I would try to arrive to the security checkpoint around 6:30 AM. This allowed me to get right through security, and I was one of the first ones in line at the parks each day! We usually can ride several of our favorite attractions during those first few hours since the crowds tend to be lower during the morning hours.
I hope you and your family enjoy some spooktacular fun during your trip, Lesia! If there are any other questions we can help with, don't hesitate to
come back to planDisney.
Have a magical day!
Melissa
