Hey there, Rachel, and welcome to planDisney!
As a lover of all things Disney, any day is the best time to visit
Magic Kingdom Park! But I'm taking off my Minnie Mouse ears headband, hanging up my Mickey Mouse Loungefly mini backpack, and going to give you the realistic low-down on the days of the week that are generally less crowded and more enjoyable.
Although it's difficult to predict the days with lower attendance (I've seen it relatively low on holidays before), it's ideal to go during the midweek days during the local school year like Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays are hit-or-miss with crowds because you'll find that there are still many Guests who are kicking off their vacations or getting one more day in before returning home. Saturdays and Sundays are usually the busiest days of the week.
I've had some of my favorite times at the Resort during the summer months and major holidays, but to be on the safe side, you'll want to avoid those days because there will be many families squeezing in the magic while they're out of school.
AN EXTRA GEM: In general, events at Walt Disney World Resort like
runDisney can also peak crowds. And speaking of special events, visiting during Magic Kingdom Park's
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on select days in August-October, you'll find that many Guests avoid visiting that park because of the shortened general park hours. So, if you're okay with a shorter day, this is a great way to experience lower crowds.
Whenever you decide to revisit the Most Magical Place on Earth, with a positive outlook and a game plan ready to go, you're going to have a fantastic time! Rachel,
give me a holler if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions.
Magic always,
LeAndra
