Best day to go to Hollywood Studios in July

Hey there Linda and a very warm summery welcome back to planDisney!

For someone who grew up in northern climates, July can definitely be a time of year to plan for when it comes to staying hydrated and finding opportunities to rest in some refreshing air conditioning and choosing the right day to visit can be key to successfully staying cool. Luckily Disney's Hollywood Studios has a lot of indoor spaces for a little respite to counter stretches of sun-baked walkways throughout the theme park, and based on my previous experiences in July here are are some personal insights to help you in selecting a day:

    • Looking at the pricing calendar for someone looking to purchase a Theme Park Ticket, it currently appears that purely when it comes to cost, the pricing during the last week or so in July is comparatively less. (I've found that this tends to continue decreasing into August and sometimes correlates with how popular I might expect the theme parks to be.)
    • There are however select dates when Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios takes place that currently include July 10, 17, 24 and 31 respectively where you might encounter a bump in the number of fellow guests after 7:00 P.M. on these Wednesdays looking to take advantage of their ability to enter prior to the start of the event. (This could affect the length of wait times at attractions and the availability of seating for Fantasmic! as well as dining reservations in the evening.)
With all of this key information in mind, I would rationally deduce that the most ideal date this July for me (if I had to pick just one) would be Monday, July 29. In my opinion this would provide the greatest chance to take advantage of current promotions, lower ticket pricing, comparatively lower crowd levels and hopefully experience the reopening of a much-awaited thrill ride. That said, this reasoning could be different for every guest but hopefully this helps you decide ahead of your summer adventures!

May any day you choose be the Best Day Ever!
