Hi Paige,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning question! Through the years with our family of seven, we have needed tor reserve two rooms on multiple occasions. At
Disney Resort Hotels, connecting rooms are definitely a possibility. If you are traveling with two adults in your party and five children, the chances are extremely high that you will get connecting rooms. When our children were younger, I insisted on it. However, if there are more than two adults, they figure that adjoining rooms will work out okay, as the children won't be alone in a room. Adjoining rooms are generally located across the hall, side by side, diagonal, or otherwise in close proximity to each other. When making your reservation for the two rooms, I recommend calling the Walt Disney World Resort directly at (407) 939-5277 to speak with them. Ask for connecting rooms from the start if this is essential for your family. Otherwise, ask them to place a strong request for adjoining rooms. Then, once it is within seven days prior to arrival, call your resort directly and ask to speak with the "Room Assigner". At that time, you can reiterate your request. Disney never guarantees that they can accommodate your request, but they will do their best to honor it based on availability.
Wishing you magical memories,
Kaylene
