Hiya, Brittany! Welcome to planDisney! Let's take a trip around the "World" at the Walt Disney World Resort!
I used to work in transportation, so you could say I have an affinity for all things that drive, float, and fly. After all, the journey can be almost as fun as the destination, especially when we're talking about Disney!
Before digging into the details of
Disney transportation, I should note that the quickest way to travel to all of these points of interest will undoubtedly be a ride share service like Lyft or Uber. But if you want to keep it free and travel Disney-style, here we go!
The first leg of our trip, from
Disney's Pop Century Resort to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, will be by bus. Since buses don't travel directly between Resort hotels, however, you'll need to take the bus to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park first, then transfer to another bus that will take you to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you're trying to make it for a dining reservation, be sure to build a little extra time into your itinerary.
Next, it looks like we're heading from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to
Disney's BoardWalk. Again, this is going to mean hopping to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, and then catching another bus to the BoardWalk.
It gets a lot easier going back "home" to Pop Century! From
AbracadaBar, just walk over to the
Disney Skyliner station right outside the International Gateway entrance to
EPCOT. There, you'll take flight aboard a gondola back to Disney's Pop Century Resort. Be sure to keep an eye on the time, though, since the Disney Skyliner only runs for about 90 minutes or so after EPCOT closes for the night.
The
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is very close to your Resort hotel, but buses usually only run there when an event is going on. You'll probably want to chat with a Cast Member at the front desk to see what may be available.
Brittany, with your trip only a few weeks away, you must be getting so excited! I hope you have fun exploring the Walt Disney World Resort, and do come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
