What are the best counter service restaurants in the parks?

    Thomas:

    Here are my suggestions:

    Magic Kingdom:
Best Theme: Columbia Harbor House is a favorite in the summer for its air-conditioning. A seat upstairs whisks you away to another time.
Best Value: A combo meal at Cosmic Ray's can feed two. Pecos Bill's burger bar is a close second.
Best View: Pinocchio's Village Haus, a seat by the window overlooking It's a Small World makes up for its standard theme-park fare.

    Epcot:
Best Value: Sunshine Season's offers the freshest fare of all counter service restaurants in every park, not to mention variety.
Best Ethnic: The wraps at Tangierine Cafe provide a delicious break from your usual burger. PLUS: I rarely find a line here.

    Animal Kingdom:
Best Value & View: Flame Tree Barbecue's tender meat falls off the bone. Enjoy it under the canopy of trees by the river out back.
Best A/C: I go for Pizzafari's Italian Sandwich over its pizza and head straight back to the last room for a quiet table.

    Disney's Hollywood Studios:
Best Ambiance: You'd think it was the mile-high sandwich from Starring Rolls that gives it the nod, but to me, its the outside tables so I can people-watch.
Best A/C: While Studio Catering offers a satisfying Greek Salad and plenty of seating under a shaded canopy, it's still outside.Toy Story Pizza Planet's leg up is its air-conditioning. But beware: its pizzas are average at best and if you have kids, they'll beg you to play the games downstairs.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
