Hi, Kim! Thanks for bringing this great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
My kiddos and I are not fans of extreme heat, so I always make sure I have a strategy in place when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks on a hot day. No matter what the temperature is, it is always important to stay well hydrated during a day of Disney fun. Did you know that you can ask for a complimentary cup of water at any Walt Disney World Resort
quick-service dining location? You are also welcome to bring your own water bottle into the theme parks with you, as long as it is not a glass container.
Many guests like to visit the theme parks early in the morning when crowds and temperatures are both low. If you are staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, it is easy to return to your resort hotel room to nap or relax during the hottest part of the day. A dip in your resort hotel's swimming pool is another great way to cool off. Then you can return to the theme parks refreshed and ready for more fun.
If your family prefers to stay at the theme parks for the entire day, try to plan on visiting
attractions and
shows that take place inside an air-conditioned building during the hottest part of the day.
Star Wars Launch Bay,
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, and
Festival of the Lion King are just a few of the attractions or shows my family likes to experience when we need to cool off. Of course, water rides are also a great way to cool off.
Splash Mountain and
Kali River Rapids are both perfect on a hot day!
Wishing you a "cool" vacation!
Samantha
