What is the best way to get from Contemporary Resort after the Pirates and Pals fireworks back to Port Orleans Riverside resort after the ride?

    Hi Pamela,

You have a few options for getting back to the Port Orleans Riverside resort from you Pirates & Pals Fireworks Cruise.

The most direct route using Walt Disney World transportation would be to walk from the Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom bus depot for a bus back to your resort. The walk takes about 10 minutes. Magic Kingdom closes at 9 p.m. that night, so the buses will be running until at least 10 p.m.

That would probably be the route I would take.

You also can catch a bus at the Contemporary to Downtown Disney and then transfer to a Port Orleans bus there.

The fastest way to get "home" would be to catch a taxi at the Contemporary. We love the free Disney transportation, but every one in a while, we opt to pay for a cab. The fare back to your resort would probably be about $15 plus tip, give or take a couple of dollars.

I hope you have a wonderful time on the Pirates & Pals cruise. I haven't done that specific one, but recently was able to enjoy a Wishes fireworks cruise. The view of the fireworks from the water is spectacular.
