Welcome to planDisney, Heather!
There really isn't a wrong way to do Disney. But there are many ways to maximize your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I am more than happy to share my top tips about how to create the most fitting itinerary for you and your crew.
First, it is actually very possible to visit all four Walt Disney World theme parks in one day. However, this could be tiring if you've never explored the theme parks before. I still would like to share this plan with you, just in case you're up for the adventure.
Game Plan #1: Animal Kingdom almost always opens earlier than the other parks. So, I would plan on starting your day there. This is even better if you're staying on Disney property and you can take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry. With this perk, you can get a head start in the theme parks of up to 30 minutes before other park guests. From there, you can hop to each park (more on that later) and end your day at Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom tends to have the latest park hours and you can end your day with a (fireworks) bang!
Now, let's get into more traditional theme park combinations. Keep in mind, like with the above plan, your theme park ticket needs a
Park Hopper option in order for you to go from one park to another. Also, if a theme park reaches capacity (this rarely happens), you can't get entry into that particular one.
Game Plan #2: Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are a match made in vacation heaven. After entering the Grid on TRON Lightcycle / Run and going down Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom, you are an easy Monorail or bus ride away from EPCOT. This combo works the best if you are wanting to see the classic Disney attractions and experience the infamous
EPCOT festivals and Magic Kingdom must-dos.
Game Plan #3: EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios is a great combo mainly because of the oh-so-wonderful
Disney Skyliner gondolas. This mode of free transportation provides an easy and breezy way to get from the front of Hollywood Studios to the back of EPCOT. You can also walk or take a boat between these two theme parks.
AN EXTRA GEM: Consider combining a theme park with one of the
Disney Water Parks, mini golf, or a visit to the
BoardWalk. I like to have an early theme park day, go back to my hotel midday, and go out later for a nice dinner at
Disney Springs.
Heather, honestly, it's hard to pick a bad combination. But I hope that you found this answer helpful nonetheless. Please feel free to
stop by planDisney again if you have additional questions about your upcoming February trip.
Magic always,
LeAndra
