What are the best character meals for a 4 year old boy? We did Crystal Palace last year. He loves Jake, Buzz, Mickey..he's all boy! We plan to spend 2 day in MK, 1 at AK, 1 at Hollywood, 1 at Epcot with an addtl day that is undecided. Thanks.

    HI Christie,

Character dining is an absolute must-do at Walt Disney World, in my opinion. I have two spots that I would recommend for your little boy considering his favorite characters.

Chef Mickey's is fantastic and features Mickey and the gang. This restaurant is at Disney's Contemporary Resort, so whether you choose to do breakfast or dinner here, it is just a short walk or monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom. The buffet is vast and offers some unique choices such as MInnie's Breakfast Pizza and Mickey-shaped Ravioli at dinner. The atmosphere is colorful and lively and one of our top choices when dining with my family.

If he'd rather dine with Jake, then I would highly recommend breakfast or lunch at Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Characters from Disney Junior's shows are there to dance and greet the guests. The buffet here is also quite good, but not quite as extensive as Chef Mickey's. However, there are still many delicious items to choose from. This breakfast was my youngest son's favorite on our trip last summer.

    Have a wonderful time.
