Hi Nicole! Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Your question makes my heart happy because it wasn't too long ago that we were asking the very same question (our kiddos are very similar to yours - just a few years older now). We love all things Disney but my son did ask for a Character meal sans Princesses...Some of our favorites include:
Cape May Cafe is my son's favorite Character Dining experience. Located in Disney's Beach Club Resort, Cape May Cafe is a delightful location to enjoy breakfast while visiting with Minnie Mouse and several of her friends. The food options are excellent and the experience is fun!
Chef Mickey's is another family favorite. We love watching the monorail zoom by while we enjoy our meal and see several of our favorite Disney Pals.
Some friends suggested
Hollywood & Vine to us several years ago and it quickly became a vacation must do. We enjoy the buffet and the Disney Junior Characters always make for a very memorable meal.
'Ohana is wonderful and Tusker House Restaurant is a great option for the Rivers of Light Dining Package.
While
Cinderella's Royal Table is the quintessential Disney Princess meal, our son did enjoy it when he was your son's age. It truly is a magical experience and who wouldn't want to dine in Cinderella Castle?
Be sure to check out all of the
Character Dining experiences and let us know if you need any further information. Have a magical vacation!
