I'm always excited to see another Louisiana guest making plans to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, and since we know all too well in Louisiana that good times happen when the family is gathered around the table enjoying good food, I'm excited to chat with you about some dining options for your upcoming visit!
Sivi, it looks like your
advance dining reservation window is already open, so let's get you some recommendations so you can pick your favorites and secure those tables! Here are some of my top picks for character dinners:
- Garden Grill Restaurant - this is my family's top pick; the food is always delicious and plentiful, the characters are interactive and spend lots of time with each family, and the unique setting (it's a spinning restaurant that takes you through scenes of the Living with the Land attraction) makes it a must-do for us on almost every visit!
- 1900 Park Fare - this dinner buffet celebrates the power of a wish with an assortment of characters, including Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Princess Tiana! There's something for everyone to enjoy on the food line, and it's a great chance to see some more unique characters during your meal.
- Chef Mickey's - this traditional character dining experience offers a buffet of favorites and your pal Mickey Mouse, along with several of his best pals! Its convenient location at Disney's Contemporary Resort makes it a great choice on a non-park day, or an easy location to get to on a day you're visiting Magic Kingdom Park.
- Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue - while this won't have you dining with your traditional Disney characters, this is my favorite dining experience on property, so I have to throw it out there! The Pioneer Players are certainly characters in their own right, and they'll keep you clapping your hands, stomping your feet, and splitting your sides with laughter as they sing, dance, and host a dinner show that's fun and unforgettable!
Sivi, I encourage you to take a look at the menus for those suggestions and to also check out all of the
character dining options online to decide which best works for your family! I've experienced every one on the list at some point or another and have never been disappointed! Disney pals, family, and delicious food always make for a magical combination!
