Hi Danielle!
How exciting that you are planning your very first trip to Walt Disney World!! Be sure to stop by one of the Guest Services locations at any of the four major Disney theme parks to request a
"First Visit" button for each member of your travel party. That way, everyone will know about this momentous occasion!
For my family, a Disney vacation
must include at least one character dining experience during each trip and we frequently choose
Chef Mickey's inside Disney's Contemporary Resort. The dinner buffet has plenty of delicious options to satisfy both the adults and children in your group and there is
no better way to end a meal than with a trip to an ice cream sundae bar! Mickey and pals will roam the room during your dinner and make time to visit your table for special interactions with
your family. Be sure to have your camera and autograph books ready and make an
advanced reservation for this popular restaurant!
I would recommend including your children in the planning to make certain everyone has a chance to choose which attractions they find most appealing
prior to your arrival at the theme park gates. Be certain to order the
Disney Vacation Planning DVD and pick up a few guidebooks to peruse together as a family. Once you've had a chance to look over the myriad of events, shows and attractions, you can determine
together what appeals most to
your family and plan your own
unique Disney vacation experience.
Just remember this very important "first trip tip": Tap in to your inner child, don a Goofy hat with floppy ears
and practice skipping down Main Street, USA with your loved ones!
