Best character dining with a 2 and 4 year old

Welcome to planDisney, Shelly! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning some character dining with little ones later this year. Character dining is truly one of the most magical experiences at Walt Disney World. Watching the little ones' faces light up when their favorite characters come right to the table? Pure Disney magic! I have a few favorites that I think you'll love, so let's jump right in and chat about them.

Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort is a must-do for breakfast. The food is top-notch, so the adults in the group will be pleased, and the characters are dressed in the cutest artist outfits you'll ever see. You'll meet Mickey the painter, Minnie the poetess, Donald the sculptor, and Daisy the dancer, all while enjoying gorgeous rooftop views and delicious pastries. Bonus: it's a quieter and more relaxed vibe, perfect for the little ones.

Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom is perfect if you're looking for something a little more adventurous. It's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the buffet has a mix of kid-friendly staples and more flavorful global dishes for the grown-ups. Donald, Mickey, and other friends will greet you in their safari gear, and the setting is colorful, fun, and just steps away from Kilimanjaro Safaris!

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at EPCOT is great if you've got some fans of the Disney Princesses in your crew. It's the perfect opportunity to meet several Princesses all in one place! I love this restaurant as an alternative to Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom, and it's my number one recommendation for families looking for time with the Princesses. Your kiddos will feel like royalty themselves!

Finally, Garden Grill at EPCOT is my hidden gem choice for you. The restaurant slowly rotates while you dine, offering fun views of Living with the Land, my personal favorite attraction! You'll meet Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale in their harvest outfits, and the food is served family-style, which is perfect for picky eaters and big appetites alike.

No matter which one you pick, your little ones are in for a treat. Have your cameras ready and those autograph books out, because you're about to make some truly magical memories!
