What is the best Character dining experience for an almost 3 year old girl? My daughter loves Mickey Mouse clubhouse, all the princesses, Nemo, Bolt, Toy Story. And are the character meals worth it? Do they get to see enough of the characters? Thanks!

Hi Amy!  I have a grandson the same age as your daughter so will answer using my own experiences with all the character dining meals we have had the opportunity to do!

If you are picking just one character dining meal I would suggest the dinner at Chef Mickey's.  To me this is the best location for children to meet and greet and have their picture taken with all of the main Disney characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.  Each character travels through-out the dining room to stop at each table for several photo ops as well as stopping at all children's seats and most of the adult seats as well.  The buffet here is quite good with special attention on the desserts!

If you have a limited time and limited budget you can experience one character meal for your vacation.  If you have a daughter who is desperately wanting to meet princesses you can choose the character dining at Akershus in the Norway pavilion in EPCOT and then scoot on over to the character greeting area to the right of the fountain to see all the Disney main characters there.  This is a great way to accomplish two things on your list in one park! The line at the character greeting can get long so the earlier you can do that in the day the shorter the line will be.

I think doing a character meal is part of the Disney experience but I don't think you need to fill your dining with only this type of meal.  Children can get tired of the characters at every meal!
