Howdy Teresa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for bringing your planning question to us. I'd be happy to assist you.
First of all, I'm so excited that you'll be experiencing
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort on your upcoming trip. This resort has recently undergone a refurbishment complete with updated
dining and lobby areas. In addition, the
Disney Skyliner now connects guests here to
Epcot,
Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and the brand-new
Disney's Riviera Resort. In my opinion, it is THE place to stay in 2020, and I can't wait for my next vacation here.
Another advantage to choosing Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort on this particular trip is convenience to sporting events.
Bus transportation is available from your resort on a limited schedule to
ESPN Wide World of Sports. Buses generally begin operating one hour prior to official opening, but you should inquire at the front desk of your resort for an updated bus schedule, as it is subject to change based on daily events.
If you prefer to arrange your own travel, I suggest using
Disney Minnie Van™ Service Connected by Lyft. I love riding around the Walt Disney World Resort in these whimsical, themed vehicles operated by Cast Members. Taking advantage of this service would allow you to travel at your leisure without worrying about just missing a bus or adhering to a set schedule. I've had wonderful experiences using this convenient service. If you are comfortable with ride share services, Uber and Lyft operate throughout Walt Disney World as well, and would be another transportation option.
Teresa, I hope this helps solidify some final plans for your upcoming Disney adventures. Have a magical vacation, and best of luck to any athletes in your party!
