Whats the best way to buy tickets for the parks when I have a big group and we’re not Florida residents?

    Hey there, Yaireliz!

Welcome back to planDisney! It's great to see you're getting all your plans in place for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. As you go through your vacation planning, new questions might pop up for you, and we welcome you to come here and ask them. Each of us here at planDisney is happy to help.

Purchasing admission tickets for the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks is easy! Simply visit the Walt Disney World Resort website and go to the Parks & Tickets area. In addition to buying your theme park tickets on the Walt Disney World Resort website, you can also purchase tickets using the My Disney Experience mobile app. You can also purchase theme park tickets by calling Walt Disney World Resort directly (407) 939-7679.

There are a few quick choices you'll want to make in purchasing theme park tickets. Let me step you through what you'll want to do.

First, you'll want to choose the number of days you plan to visit the theme parks. With four theme parks offering so much to see and do -- Magic Kingdom ParkEPCOTDisney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park -- I always recommend at least four or five days so you can enjoy all the magic. You can select the number of days that's just right for your vacation plans.

Next, you'll want to choose your ticket type. The standard admission ticket gives you entry to one theme park per day. One of the options I always recommend is the Park Hopper Option that lets you visit more than one theme park per day.

Next, you'll choose the first day when you want to start using the tickets to visit the theme parks. Your theme park tickets will be valid for admission for a certain number of days from your start date. For example, if you purchase a 5-day ticket, the ticket expires eight days after your start date. This gives you some convenience and flexibility in planning which days you'd like to visit theme parks during your stay.

The next step is where you select the number of tickets you want to purchase for those in your group based on their ages.

After you purchase your tickets, you can link them to your Disney Account and easily manage your plans through your My Disney Experience account.

There are some helpful and important "Know Before You Go" updates that you'll want to check out. This includes making theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system

Yaireliz, here's wishing you and everyone in your group a fun and wonderful vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
