Hi what is the best building to stay in at all star music going in aug with 11.5month old, 4yr old girls and my mom want first floor my mom is scared of hights and dosent like a balcony and standard room but close to main building is this even do able

    Hi Sheena,

Since you have booked a Standard Room (as opposed to paying extra from a Preferred Room), I recommend that you request the "Jazz Inn" section. The Calypso buildings are the ones that are closest to the main building (Melody Hall) where you will find the food courts and bus stops. However, those are categorized as "Preferred Rooms" and they cost a bit more. The Jazz Inn buildings are the next closest section to the Melody Hall and they also surround the Piano Pool which is nice. You are going to want to specifically request a first floor room in the Jazz Inn section. I recommend calling 407-W-DISNEY now to place this request on your reservation. Then, exactly 9 days prior to your arrival, you'll want to call All Star Music directly at (407) 939-6000 and ask to speak with the Room Assigner. Explain your mothers fear of heights and your desire to be close to the bus stops and lobby due to traveling with little ones. While Disney never guarantees requests, they will do their best to honor them based on availability. With a little bit of pixie dust, you'll get the room location you are hoping for!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
