Hi Leeann!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, I'm happy to help.
I'm sure you could ask ten different people which building is the "best' one to stay in at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and they might each give a different answer. I'm happy to share my personal experience and tell you which are my favorite buildings, and why!
My family loves Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and have had the pleasure of staying there on numerous occasions. The theming is gorgeous, and with the backwoods cottages and regal mansions, you'll feel like you've stepped right into the heart of Louisiana.
My favorite buildings (of the ones in which I've been a guest) are located in the Alligator Bayou section - Buildings 14 and 15. The rooms in this building are close to the main building, and just a short walk away from the bus stop, where you can take advantage of Walt Disney World Resort's complimentary transportation. Most of the buildings in the Alligator Bayou section are kept cool by lots of shade trees, and that brings me joy in the heat of summer! Being close to the main building means that
Riverside Mill Food Court is nearby, so it's easy to stop by to get a drink in your refillable resort mug or grab a snack.
If you prefer to stay in one of the white-columned "mansions" in the Magnolia Bend section of the resort, I recommend the Magnolia Terrace building because of its close proximity to the East Depot bus stop and leisure pool.
I hope this helps with your planning and you're soon enjoying a magical stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort! - Diane W.
