Aloha, Heather!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your tropical getaway to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I’d be happy to navigate you through the pros of each longhouse where you might find your room.
Resort view rooms at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will overlook a courtyard, parking lot, or monorail and are located in the Tuvalu, Fiji, Aotearoa, Rarotonga, and Niue longhouses. Fortunately, this is not one of the more sprawling
Walt Disney World resorts, so no matter where you land, you won't have to travel far to reach any resort amenities or transportation.
Niue is in the heart of this island paradise and is close to the feature pool, leisure pool, and lobby. Rarotonga is next door, and rooms on the east end of this building are nearest to the Transportation & Ticket Center, where you'll find the
EPCOT monorail. Rooms in Rarotonga are also the shortest walk to the resort bus transportation. If quick access to
pools, quick-service dining, and transportation is crucial, these two longhouses are my winners.
On the other side of the lobby are Tuvalu, Fiji, and Aotearoa. These longhouses are near the resort marina and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the feature pool. If you have little ones who nap and are sensitive to noise, I recommend requesting one of these areas. If you have kids who like to watch the monorail glide by, the south-facing rooms in Aotearoa will delight them.
I hope this is helpful, Heather! Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is fantastic, and I know you'll have a wonderful time. Remember when making requests that nothing is guaranteed, but Cast Members will do their best to find you a room that fits your needs. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, and we look forward to welcoming you "home" soon!
Mahalo,
Betsy
