Hi there, Marge, and welcome to planDisney!
Rope dropping
Animal Kingdom is for the ultimate theme park lover. It's usually the first of the four theme parks to open its doors to Guests, which is perfect for observing the lions and other animals at
Kilimanjaro Safaris. When at the Most Magical Place on Earth, there's no such thing as waking up too early and going to bed too late. The party never stops!
My recommendation is to eat breakfast while at Animal Kingdom (or at the nearby
Animal Kingdom Lodge). It has some of the best breakfast options on property. Inside of the theme park, grab a
Pongu Lumpia in Pandora or Breakfast Totchos from
Kusafiri Bakery. This way you can eat while walking to your next ride. If you don't mind completing as many experiences as you can to maximize
Early Theme Park Entry before eating, character dining with Donald Duck and friends at
Tusker House Restaurant is a fantastic choice for breakfast. I suggest grabbing an advance dining reservation for this restaurant.
Consider taking a
Minnie Van or a quick drive from your Resort hotel to Animal Kingdom Lodge instead of Animal Kingdom and get the earliest dining reservation for a hearty breakfast buffet at
Boma--Flavors of Africa. If the earliest available time doesn't give you enough room to fully experience Early Theme Park Entry, pack a quick snack for the park and then take a bus to the Lodge afterward. Trust me, Boma and the other restaurants at Animal Kingdom Lodge are my husband and I's go-tos for any day and any time.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you're still planning on staying in the Polynesian area, consider getting a quick bite from
Wailulu Bar & Grill. No reservations are needed and it has breakfast grab-and-go options like sandwiches and classic Mickey-shaped waffles.
Marge, I hope that this helps you this home stretch of your vacation planning adventure. Please don't hesitate to
reach out to us again at planDisney if you have additional vacay questions. I'm all ears!
Magic always,
LeAndra
