Hello, Dean! Welcome to planDisney!
You’ve come to the right place to plan your family's cruise, because at planDisney, large-group Disney vacations are a favorite! My family’s favorite reunion tradition is to take a Disney cruise together every year. As our family grows, so does the number of cabins we reserve! Currently, we have seven cabins reserved for our next Family Reunion Disney Cruise! And guess who’s handling all of our cruise planning? That’s right, Dean, and I'm absolutely overjoyed! I’m always happy to take the group Disney cruise planning reins, and I'd love to share my best tips with you on how to do it.
When you’re
ready to reserve your cruise, you can either do so through the Disney Cruise Line website or by
calling Disney Cruise Line, and a Cast Member will be happy to assist, as they are very skilled in making reservations for groups. However, if you need more than four staterooms, you can only reserve by calling Disney Cruise Line, as only four staterooms can be reserved at once on the website.
You have two options when it comes to making group reservations. Either one of you could reserve all four staterooms at the same time, or you could each reserve separately and then link the reservations together after booking. I’ll walk you through the process for each option.
If you’re making the reservation for the entire group, you can reserve all four staterooms on the Disney Cruise Line website by clicking "Plan a Cruise", and then "Find a Cruise". After clicking on your intended itinerary, click “View Staterooms”, and here you can configure the stateroom selections. By clicking “Add Another Stateroom” underneath each one, you can add up to four staterooms. Each stateroom must have an adult (18+) on the reservation. If you would like any of the staterooms to be
connected to each other, toggle the “Connecting Rooms” tab, and you can connect two staterooms together. On the next page, you can choose the
category and location of each stateroom.
If you’re each reserving a stateroom separately and then linking them afterwards, you will each follow the same previous steps if reserving through the website. This is what my family and I do. We even choose staterooms that are connected or near each other by checking their location first. Once all the reservations have been made, you can
link them together in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Once you're all linked, you can begin making those exciting cruise plans together!
Once you've reserved, I recommend looking over this helpful guide called
"Know Before You Go" as well as the "Next Steps" section of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. They're both great guides for the next steps to continue planning this exciting Disney cruise adventure. And, of course, my planFriends and I are always overjoyed to help with the planning along the way!
Dean, I hope that I helped get your vacation planning underway. I wish your group so many fun memories ahead! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
You’ve Got a Friend in Me,
Rana
