What is the best way to book a cruise for an especially large party of multiple families? Is there a group rate available?

    Hi there Marin!

So happy that you have boarded our planDisney ship as you start planning your Disney cruise. What a fun sailing it will be with a large group of family and friends onboard!

Currently, Disney Cruise Line does not offer any group discount for large parties. But I will say that when you consider all that is included in a Disney cruise, it’s already a great value! From pretty much unlimited food and select beverages, tons of activities and entertainment, Disney characters, and dedicated spaces for kids and grown-ups alike, a Disney cruise offers something for everyone!

Nevertheless, I do have some ideas on how to save on your cruise fare. First, reserve your cruise as soon as it becomes available since this is typically the best way to get the best fares. Additionally, you should try to avoid the holidays and popular travel times like Spring Break as those voyages are always in high demand. Since Disney Cruise Line offers multiple stateroom categories, everyone in your group can choose the one that best suits their needs and price point. Choosing an itinerary with fewer days can be a budget-saving measure. Last but not least, check out the Special Offers page frequently to see if one of those sailings would work for you. There aren’t any currently showing, but I’m expecting more to be added in the future.

With a large group of several families, you can either contact a Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning Specialist or a Travel Agent to make reservations for multiple staterooms. I then recommend that you have all the staterooms for your party linked together. This is to make sure that arrangements can be made for all of you to be seated in close proximity in the rotational dining rooms. Your dining team will deliver superb service AND learn all your preferences as they rotate with you to each of the restaurants every night.

I hope that these tips have you even more excited about the idea of a Disney cruise! Sail back to planDisney anytime and I’d be happy to help you anytime. Marin, WISHing you and your family a fabulous experience together with Captain Mickey!

    Happy Sailing!
