Hi Vanessa,
Welcome to planDisney! I am excited to hEAR that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort with your son! My girls are also teenagers, so I have some experience traveling with teens.
Since you are staying for two nights and three days, I suggest visiting at least two theme parks. Of the four theme parks and given your son's age, I would suggest Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. There are quite a few rides at each park that are good for teenagers. At Magic Kingdom, our girls love Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Tomorrowland Speedway. On Tomorrowland Speedway, my husband and I have created a tradition of grading the girls on their driving ability.
Disney's Hollywood Studios is now one of our favorite parks because of
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Our girls love to enhance their Jedi training on each trip, so we have visited the Gatherers at
Savi's Workshop, built lightsabers, and joined the Cause. We added a few more allies to the Resistance after a visit to
Droid Depot, practiced our piloting skills on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and escaped the First Order on
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Vanessa, if you have not yet booked a
vacation package, I hope you will consider a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. My family loves staying the middle of the magic. When I am on a tighter budget, we have stayed at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and when we are able to splurge, we have stayed at Disney's Contemporary Resort which is within walking distance to Magic Kingdom! So, keep doing your research and book a trip as soon as possible. We cannot wait to welcome you to the magic!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
