Hi Tom,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this question to us!
If you plan to
rent an electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) from the parks each day, I suggest that you make sure you arrive by 9:00 a.m. My husband occasionally rents an ECV in the parks and we always make sure we are there early because they are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Having said that, on our last trip, we arrived at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park about 11:00 a.m and were still able to get an ECV. If you arrive and there are none remaining, I would suggest just waiting for a few minutes at the rental location. Guests do return them periodically throughout the day.
If you want to be sure that you have one every day, try renting one from one of the Disney Featured providers. Those can be delivered to your resort. Just check with each provider to obtain more information about pricing and delivery options. What we love about renting from the parks is that they will come replace your ECV should it stop working in the parks. Although we have, thankfully, never had this happen, it was nice to hear that we would receive that level of service!
Tom, also review the
Services for Guests with Disabilities guide. The
Magic Kingdom guide map, for instance, will let you know where to find the special parade viewing areas for guests with disabilities.
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
