What are the best Animal Kingdom Fastpass to reserve ahead of time? We have only one day in Animal Kingdom, but this isn't our first trip.

Jambo Stephanie! Disney's Animal Kingdom is my favorite park. Although other people view it as a 'half-day' park, I could spend all day roaming through Africa, Asia, and DinoLand U.S.A. With all of the amazing new nighttime experiences in the works, you won't be able to drag me out of Animal Kingdom park. I am especially excited for the new nighttime spectacular, Rivers of Light. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to stay updated with all of the new things coming along in the Animal Kingdom expansion.

FastPass+ selections depend on what attractions you are interested in and what season it is. If the choices were left up to me and I was going by myself, I would choose Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, and DINOSAUR. If I am traveling in a warm season, or with my 5-year-old son I will replace Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain with Kali River Rapids. To me, it is not worth using a FastPass+ for a stage show. The Festival of the Lion King is in Harambe Theater. It is set up in a circle, so no matter where you are seated you get a great view. I've never had any problems getting in to see Finding Nemo - The Musical either, so I suggest that you save FastPass+ selections for attractions. If you can, try to get your Kilimanjaro Safaris FastPass+ selection for in the morning. I've experienced this attraction at all times of the day, but for some reason, a morning safari ride has always been extra magical.

I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions please feel free to stop by.

    Asante sana, Stephanie!

I am a recent graduate from Ball State University and mother to my 5-year-old son. We love all things Disney and when we aren’t watching Disney films or planning our next vacation, we love to go to touring Disney shows. I also love to cook, listen to music, read books, and paint. With my experience planning vacations and navigating the parks from a single parent’s perspective, I hope to be able to add a little “pixie dust” to your vacation! Learn More About Sarah
