What is the best way to alert the restaurants ahead of time of dietary restrictions? The reservation system did not allow me to specify the type of restriction.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Janet!

I have travelled many times to Walt Disney World Resort with my son with multiple food allergies, including to foods that are not "common" allergens, we have always had wonderful experiences where the Chefs and Cast Members have worked so hard to make sure he has tasty and safe meals! When adding special dietary requests to a reservation, the online system will allow you to select options that must be avoided during your meal. If you need to add additional dietary requirements, you can do so by calling the dining reservations hotline at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 and they can add those to your reservation. If you are accommodating a metabolic disorder, multiple food allergies or allergies that are not on the "common" allergen list, you can contact the Special Dietary Requests team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days prior to your trip so they can provide you with additional assistance for your dining plans during your trip. They are also an extremely useful resource to help you understand how your specific dietary restrictions can be accommodated during your vacation!

If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your magical trip, please let us know! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
