Hi there, Joseph, and welcome to our little Neverland that we call planDisney. Let's sprinkle a little pixie dust on your question because before you know it, you'll be flying like Peter Pan to
The Most Magical Place on Earth. YAY!
You're correct that Disney's Magical Express is no longer operating for Resort hotel Guests. However, you can use Mears Connect to travel from the Orlando Airport to your Disney Resort hotel. This service functions very similarly to Magical Express.
I wouldn't recommend a ride-share service for larger parties, although that is an option. Mears Connect is a good choice for big groups, and I use it when my big family is on vacation together. In fact, I'm currently at Walt Disney World as I write to you, and I used this service to get to my
Disney Resort hotel. You can book and pay for your trip in advance on their website. Then, after you arrive in Orlando and collect your luggage, you'll follow the instructions provided in your confirmation email to reach the pick-up location.
I've always found their drivers to be incredibly nice. My driver this week even played Disney trivia with our bus full of Guests and helped us all cheer when we drove into Disney property! Just keep in mind that the standard bus does make multiple stops at several different hotels, so plan your trip to the parks accordingly.
Joseph, I hope this information helps you put the finishing touches to your vacation. Please reach out if we can help again. Whether it's transportation, how to make
Lightning Lane reservations, or advice on where to find the best DOLE Whip (it's the Tropical Serenade from
Aloha Isle), we are here with faith, trust, and pixie dust to help you have the most magical trip! Thank you for stopping by!
Enjoy!
