Hiya Erin! Welcome to planDisney!
Choosing to stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is one of the best decisions you can make when planning your trip! There are plenty of benefits that come along with doing so, but being a part of the magic the entire time you are there is the icing on the cake. My family has traveled to Walt Disney World on a few occasions where we just stayed at a Disney Resorts Hotel and did not even venture to a park. We save these types of trips for long weekend getaways, but each resort offers so much to keep you entertained for your entire stay.
When traveling with a large group, accommodations will be the first thing to consider during the planning process. Luckily for you, Walt Disney World has a variety of options that will be perfect for your group. If affordability is at the top of your list, I would consider
Disney's Value Resorts first. Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All-Star Music Resort both have family suites available with amazing Disney theming. Any of these suites will hold up to six Guests, so you will need to book two rooms for your stay. Another option to consider at these resorts or the other value resorts is to book multiple standard-size rooms that sleep up to four Guests each. If you only end up having a total of eight Guests, the cost for two of these rooms will be comparable to one family suite. You can also request connecting rooms, which will have an interior door that you can keep open and go between the two without stepping outside. (Keep in mind that these requests are not always guaranteed.)
If having everyone stay together in the same room is your priority, then I suggest considering the
2-Bedroom or 3-Bedroom Villas at any of the Disney Deluxe Villas. The 2-Bedroom Villas sleep up to 8 or 9 Guests while most 3-Bedroom Grand Villas sleep up to 12. Some of the more affordable options can be found at Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. The resort rooms at both of these resorts are spacious and will provide plenty of room for your party.
By choosing one of these options, you'll receive all the benefits of staying at a Disney Resorts Hotel. You'll have access to
Early Theme Park Entry, booking dining for your entire length of stay up to 10 days, and most importantly Disney Transportation to and from the parks!
Erin, best of luck planning your Walt Disney World vacation. If you need any additional tips for traveling with a large group,
