    What is the best way to take advantage of the resort on the days our flights arrive and depart?

    Jump in the pool! 

    All resorts at Walt Disney World have amazing pools heated to 80 degrees year round. From the water park like pool complex Stormalong Bay at Disney's Beach and Yacht Club to the bright blue serpent water slide at Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter to the beautiful shiny new Big Blue Pool at Disney's Art of Animation Resort you will find these refreshing oases at every level of resort.  Changing areas are available so you may enjoy the pool even after check out time on your final day. 

    The amenities available at your resort, obviously, depends on which resort will be your home during your visit. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort has horses and campfire sing-a-longs, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa has spa treatments and tennis, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has African animals and learning programs. Many resorts have a marina where you may rent boats or a spot for bike rental.

    My family loves to enjoy a character breakfast before we hit the road on our departure day. Consider visiting Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort or Disney's Beach Club Resort's Cape May for an early morning meal with Mickey during your final few Disney hours.
