Besides the parade in Animal Kingdom, do any of the others allow audience participation? My son is 5 & was just diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. He has been such a good sport about all his doctor's appointments and wants nothing more then to be in par

    Hi Laura,

There are a variety of performances at Disney's Animal Kingdom that invite guests to participate in the fun.  In addition to the parade you mentioned, guests also have the chance to participate in the Festival of the Lion King.  Children are selected from the audience to dance with the performers at various parts of the show.  It really is a thrill for the little ones to participate.  It wouldn't hurt to arrive a little early for the stated show time and let the Cast Members seating guests know that your son would be ecstatic to participate.  There are no guarantees he will be chosen, but it doesn't hurt to express his interest in doing so.

Flights of Wonder is another show that offers a little audience participation.  Birds fly out into the audience and get very close to audience members.  Participation in this show is typically for adults, however.  Nonetheless, the children in the audience feel very much involved in the experience as the exotic birds fly overhead.

Don't forget to take your son over to Camp Minnie Mickey Greeting Trails where he can enjoy some one-on-one interaction with Mickey and friends.  This is a great place to feel like you're part of the fun!

Best wishes to your family, Laura, for a truly magical Walt Disney World vacation!
