Besides eating at Kona & Ohana, what are other must do’s when staying at the Poly? What kind of activities during the day and evening are available for resort guests?

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Danielle!

My family really enjoys Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. When we stay there, I always book dinner at 'Ohana and Kona Cafe. You will love shopping at the Moana Mercantile and BouTiki gift shops. Be sure not to miss the delicious DOLE WHIP® floats from the Pineapple Lanai.

Upon check-in, you will be provided with the monthly Recreation Calendar. This document will list the many activities and recreational opportunities available throughout Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Depending on the month of the year and day of the week, these include, but are not limited to the following options:

•Yoga on Great Ceremonial House Lawn. This complimentary instructor-led activity has a maximum capacity of 10 Guests.
•Movie Under the Stars, which are complimentary screenings of favorite Disney films shown most evenings on the Great Ceremonial House Lawn
•Aloha After Dark on the Great Ceremonial House Lawn. This event is family friendly and full of tropical themed activities and interactive fun

Also, don't forget you can watch the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. At certain points they even pipe in the music from the show. To get the best audio, look for the light poles with the speakers on them along the walkway.

I hope this information was helpful, Danielle. Please write back with more questions as you continue to plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
