Hi Bernie, Thank you so much for answering my previous question. Do you know if you can choose how many days you purchase a meal plan? Planning about 10 days at disney, want to do character dining, but thinking about the quick service meal plan.

    Hi Stacey!

Thank you for sending me this question directly!  I really enjoy answering guest questions.

If you purchase a Dining Plan, you have to purchase it for every night of your stay.  However, you can get around this by having two reservations; in fact, many guests have multiple reservations so that they can experience more than one resort hotel during their vacation.  However, as you can imagine that's not exactly an ideal solution.

Be sure to do the math to make sure you will actually save money on the Dining Plan.  Many guests do save substantial money, but some guests only save a little, and some guests actually spend more by being on a Dining Plan.  It really depends on how your party dines, what each member likes to eat, etc.  I suggest visiting the independent website AllEars.Net.  The All Ears team does a great job keeping their menus up to date.  You can select some representative restaurants and calculate how much you would spend and compare that to the price of a dining plan.  Be sure to include snacks and drinks throughout the day, unless you are bringing your own.

By the way, be sure to make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) as soon as possible for any Table Service restaurants, including Character Dining Experiences.  ADRs can be made up to 180 days in advance at (407) WDW-DINE or online.

Write back if you have any more questions!
