Bernie, visiting end of Dec, beginning of Jan. Preparing for huge crowds!! Staying offsite. Touring Plans has AK as a "Best Park" for Sunday the 30th. But there's morning EMH. Tips for arrival? We have a big party (16) and need to pick up a

    Hi Allison!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

I am a huge fan of the independent website TouringPlans and their recommendations as you know.  I have collected data for them over the years and have tested several of their plans personally.  Usually I always go with their recommendations.

However, I really suggest not going to Disney's Animal Kingdom on a day that it is offering Morning Extra Magic Hour.  It has been my experience that Disney's Animal Kingdom is much more crowded all day when it offers Morning Extra Magic Hour than it would be when it doesn't.  Usually I don't mind going into a park offering Morning Extra Magic Hour, but I think it really does make a large impact on Animal Kingdom.  I suggest picking another park for that day and squeezing in Animal Kingdom on a different day.  If you are using TouringPlan's crowd calendar that just shows the general crowd level overall in Walt Disney World, then I suggest looking at the crowd calendar for the individual parks.  There you can see the individual predictions instead of an overall general prediction; that may help you more.

Your second question got cut off by the system, so please write back with it!  I hope this helps!
