Hi Bernie! Sooo excited to see dining offered again for Feb! Planning to book within the next day or two now! Do you recommend a value resort (POP or Movies) or PORFQ for 4 and 5 yr old boys? Thanks again for all your help!!

    Hi Sarah!

Thank you for sending me this question directly.  I really appreciate it.

If you don't plan on spending a lot of time at your resort, but rather just see it as a place to sleep and maybe swim, then I recommend going with Pop Century.  Most young boys love the over the top larger-than-life theming at Pop Century and the pool is fine for young children.  I prefer Pop Century over any of the All Stars resorts because Pop Century has its own bus service and there's only one bus stop at Pop Century.  However, with the exception of the bus service and the theming, there really isn't much difference between Pop Century and any of the All Stars resorts.

Port Orleans French Quarter is a fan favorite and, being a Disney Moderate Resort, the rooms are slightly larger than the rooms at Pop Century or the All Stars.  However, Port Orleans French Quarter is the smallest of the Disney Moderate Resorts and it doesn't have a Table Service restaurant.  The pool is also geared more towards young children, which would be fine for your boys.  Personally, between Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside, I greatly prefer Riverside.  Riverside has a Table Service restaurant, a much larger food court, and, in my opinion, more services and amenities.  However, guests of either Riverside or French Quarter can use the services and amenities of the other sister resort.

If it was me and I didn't need the extra space in the room, I would chose Pop Century over Port Orleans French Quarter.  That's mostly because I prefer having a larger food court at the resort and I like the fact that Pop Century doesn't share buses with other resorts; there's only one bus stop at French Quarter but it does share buses with Port Orleans Riverside and there are multiple stops at Riverside.

Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
