Bernie, what are the "must sees" and "must dos" around Wilderness Lodge?

    Hi Nicholas!

    This is a great question.

Let's start with the dining!  I definitely recommend making a dinner reservation at Artist Point and at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  Artist Point is a romantic restaurant that is generally very quiet and not too crowded.  It would be great for a honeymoon.  The Whispering Canyon Cafe is more of a family restaurant, but it is very unique and a lot of fun with or without children, so I recommend trying that as well.

Just beyond the Wilderness Lodge are the Contemporary Resort and Fort Wilderness.  Both are easy to get to via a boat that runs continuously between all three resorts.  That makes it extremely easy and fun to get to the other two resorts.  Thus I recommend that people staying at the Wilderness Lodge take advantage of that fact and make a reservation at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness.  The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is a blast and a lot of fun;  I recommend getting the best seating possible as it's definitely worth the money!  The reason I mention this now is it can be difficult getting to Fort Wilderness depending on which Walt Disney World Resort you are staying in; thus you should take advantage of the fact that you are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and do it on this trip.

Likewise, you should make a reservation at the California Grill in the Contemporary Resort.  I can't remember exactly when you will be visiting, but hopefully the California Grill will be open (and not being refurbished) during your visit.  I think that is one of the most romantic restaurants on property with an incredible view of the Magic Kingdom and the rest of Walt Disney World; it is located on top of the Contemporary Resort.  Again, you would just take the boat to get there!

Our responses are limited in length, but please write back and I can provide some ideas for activities as well!
