Hi Bernie! Need to change my reserv from sept12 to jan 18-26, 2013. Can I move my package to 2013 now or just my room reserv? Good time to go in Jan? I don't want to lose my deposit either.......your advice is always my go to :) Thanks!

    Hi Adelle!

Thank you for sending me your question directly!  I really appreciate it.  Also, thank you for the compliment.  I really enjoy helping quests plan their magical vacations!

A Walt Disney World package can be changed or cancelled with no penalty as long as the changes are made before 45 days before your intended check-in date.  So you have until late July to make a change.  The 2013 rates may be out before then.  Thus I recommend waiting for a little while before making the change.

January is generally speaking a quiet time to visit Walt Disney World, though there are a few relatively busy days in there around Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and the Martin Luther King Junior Holiday Weekend.  The federal holiday falls in your time window, but I wouldn't change your plans.  It's really not that busy then; just slightly more crowded than the other days in January.  It's nothing like other holiday periods at Walt Disney World!

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
