Hi Bernie, hoping you can help with another? Best way from WL to Beaches & Cream? Kitchen Sink! Also from WL to Chef M for 7:30am res? Read conflicting info when bus starts, 1 or 2 hr b4 parks open? Taxi, how much? 6 of us, 4 adults, 2 kids, Thanks aga

    Hi Shannan!

Thanks for sending me a question directly!  While Disney provides free transportation throughout Walt Disney World, taxis are a convenient way to get around property!  The taxi fare to get all the way across Walt Disney World seldom exceeds $20 plus tip.  The average fare is usually around $15 plus tip.  To get some ideas on typical fares, you can use the Taxi Fare Estimator from the independent site MearsTransportation.com; Mears is currently the official provider of taxi services at Walt Disney World.

The fastest way to get from the Wilderness Lodge to the Beach Club, where Beaches and Cream is located, is to use a taxi.  However, there are other ways.  The easiest might be to save Beaches and Cream for a day when you are already visiting Epcot; the Beach Club is about a 5 minute walk from the International Gateway entrance of Epcot (located between the France and United Kingdom pavilions).  You can also get to the Beach Club via a boat from Disney's Hollywood Studios.  To get there from the Wilderness Lodge directly, I would take the boat to the Magic Kingdom and from there get on a bus to the Beach Club.

To get to Chef Mickey's for your 7:30 am reservation, I would either take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then walk to the Contemporary, or just a take a taxi.  Buses typically start running about one hour before park opening.  However, there is usually an early morning bus to the Magic Kingdom for those guests having early morning character dining reservations in the park; check to see when the park is opening on the day you are going to Chef Mickey's.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions and I would be happy to help you more!  Enjoy planning your magical trip!
