What is the benfits of a disney package? I have booked my room only for June 2013 and have it paid for. Can I still make meal reservations with having bought my room and tickets seperately?

    Hi Maegan,

Beyond any discounts available at the time you book your trip, the biggest benefit of purchasing a Disney vacation package (as opposed to purchasing your tickets and room separately) is the opportunity to include a Disney Dining Plan in your package.  I've confirmed many times that the best way to save money on your food budget while vacationing at Walt Disney World is to select one of their dining plans. I love the savings and flexibility that characterize the dining plans!  Typically you'll save 20% over what you would have spent out-of-pocket for the same meals.   Guests who purchase their theme park tickets separately do not have the option to participate in a Disney Dining Plan.  Therefore, I encourage you to consider the option of revising your reservation to include a comprehensive vacation package when you visit Walt Disney World.

If you have any follow-up questions for us, just let us know!  We'd be happy to help.

    Best wishes,
    Jill

PS.  Whether or not you purchase a Disney Dining Plan, you are welcome to make your advance dining reservations 180 days before your trip.  Just call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations at any of the table service restaurants that interest you. (Have your resort confirmation number on hand when you call).  If you need suggestions for the best places to dine, just tell us about your culinary preferences and we'll happily point you in the right direction.
